Privacy Policy

Maternal Revival is a small, personal practice, and your trust matters here. This policy explains what information is collected when you visit this site, reach out, make a purchase, or create an account, how it is used, and the choices you have.
Who we are
Maternal Revival is a birth, postpartum, embodiment, and herbal-education practice founded by Hannah Niehues, serving Kansas City and surrounding areas. Where this policy says "we" or "us," it means Maternal Revival.
Information you share with us
When you fill out a contact or consultation form, sign up for the newsletter, or email us, you may share your name, email address, phone number, and anything you choose to write about your pregnancy, birth, postpartum season, or the support you're looking for.
When you make a purchase, you'll also provide payment details and, for items we ship to you, a mailing address. These are handled securely by our payment processor (Stripe), we never see or store your full card number, and your shipping address stays with Stripe (we view it there only to send your order). On our side we keep just a basic record of your orders, such as what you bought and the amount.
When you book a consultation or a session, you'll share your name, email, phone number, and time zone so we can hold your appointment, and scheduling and calendar invites are handled by our scheduling provider (Cal.com). You may also tell us where you are in your journey, such as an expected due date or a recent arrival, and anything you'd like Hannah to know beforehand.
For an astrology reading, you'll share birth details, a birth date, time, and place, along with your intention for the reading. Some readings include a child, and in that case a parent or guardian provides the child's first name and birth details, used only to prepare that reading.
You are always in control of how much you share. Some of what you tell us may be sensitive health information, and we treat it with care, using it only to respond to you and support the work you've asked us to do.
Your account
When you make a purchase or book a session, we create a simple account for you automatically so your space is ready, and you don't set a password. You sign in with your email address, and we send a secure code or link. We keep only what's needed to run your account, such as your email, name, the courses, readings, sessions, or resources you have, and your progress through them.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, this site may collect basic technical information such as your browser type, device, and the pages you visit. This helps us understand what's useful and keep the site working well. For visitors who aren't signed in, this isn't tied to your identity, see “Cookies and analytics” below for the details.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses cookies and similar local storage to work properly and to understand how it's used. We use a privacy-minded analytics tool (PostHog) to see which pages are helpful and where people run into trouble, measured through page views and general activity.
Anonymous visitors aren't personally profiled. If you sign in, this activity may be associated with your account so we can better support your experience. You can limit or clear cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as well.
How your information is used
We use what you share to reply to your messages, schedule and provide services, process your purchases and send receipts, deliver courses and ship products, send updates or resources you've requested, and improve the site. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
We rely on a few trusted service providers to run the practice, for example, secure payment processing (Stripe), scheduling and calendar invites for appointments (Cal.com), email delivery, website hosting, privacy-minded analytics, and error monitoring to catch and fix problems (configured not to collect your personal details). They only handle your information to help us serve you, and not for their own purposes.
Email and newsletter
If you sign up for updates, you'll receive occasional emails with resources and news. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, and we'll remove you promptly.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. Just reach out and we'll take care of it. You can also decline to share information, though some of it may be needed to provide a particular service.
Children's privacy
This site is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Where a reading involves a child, a parent or guardian provides the child's birth details, and we use them only to prepare that reading.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the date above. Meaningful changes will be reflected here on this page.
Questions
If you have any questions about your privacy or this policy, please reach out through the contact page and we'll be glad to help.
